Mighty Fraser Country as we are known, features numerous attractions within a one hour drive. On the Gold Rush Trail, don’t miss Hope, the chain saw carving capital of BC. It is also the site of the fi lming of the blockbuster movie ‘First Blood’ and the Othello Tunnels in Coquihalla Canyon Provincial Park. Yale Historic Site and the spectacular thundering passage of the Fraser River at Hell’s Gate are also must-see attractions.

West of Harrison, the Chilliwack River Valley with its great hiking and the Blue Heron Nature Reserve are worth a visit. For the more adventurous, several companies offer thrilling white water rafting excursions in the area. During the winter months, a trip to Hemlock Valley Resort for skiing, boarding, snowshoeing and tubing makes for a great family excursion.
