Time to get on your boogie shoes.

The Harrison Festival Society is partnering with the Kent Harrison Arts Council to host a community dance on Saturday, May 6 at Memorial Hall (290 Esplanade Avenue).

Tickets are $15 plus processing and GST; proceeds from the event will benefit both the Festival Society and KHAC.

Entertainment for the dance hails from Chilliwack – classic rock cover band Cold Chain featuring Trevor McDonald.

Tickets are available through harrisonfestival.com, by calling 604-796-3664 or in-person at the Ranger Station Art Gallery (98 Rockwell Drive). The dance starts at 8 p.m. with doors opening at 7:30 p.m.

The Harrison Festival Society is constantly working to provide arts and culture events to the Agassiz-Harrison area. Their biggest event of the year – the long-standing, beloved Harrison Festival of the Arts – is coming in mid-July.

In addition to hosting artistic events of their own, the KHAC showcases monthly exhibitions from artists from Agassiz-Harrison and beyond at the Ranger Station Art Gallery, the only publicly-owned gallery in the area. They are a non-profit society cultivating arts and culture to the region for more than 45 years.
