Cape-Bretton-based Celtic quartet Beólach was the first of three concerts in a mini-series called Concerts in the Country. Two more acts will play on Friday and Saturday nights (June 17 and 18) – Beatles tribute “Get Back: Unplugged” and North African Afro-Latin funk band Coco Jafro.

The Festival Society put together the mini-series after last year’s Festival of the Arts held at Holberg Farm turned out to be a major hit. This year’s Festival of the Arts will take place at its traditional location along the coast of Harrison Lake and at Memorial Hall for select evening performances. The multimedia celebration of all things artistic returns to its iconic roots and will kick off on July 8.
