Harrison Hot Springs is set once again to appear as the backdrop of a Hallmark TV movie.

The village’s latest brush with Hollywood North came last week. According to a filming notice from the village, Best Day Ever Productions, Inc. filmed interior and exterior scenes throughout the village from April 26 to April 30. Specific locations included Corner Café, Harrison Hamburgers, Glencoe Motel, Civic Plaza and Bramblebank cottages.

“The Road Ahead” is the working title for the still-filming production. The movie will star Holly Robinson Peete (“21 Jump Street”), Kaylee Bryant (“Legacies”), Trevor Lerner (“Virgin River”) and Mark Humphrey (“When Calls the Heart”).

In “The Road Ahead,” actress Madeline (played by Peete) meets adventurer Sarah (played by Bryant) on one of the worst days of her life. In a single morning, Madeline discovers she has aged out of her dream role, finds out her husband is having an affair with her assistant, learns a daughter she gave up for adoption 30 years ago wants to meet her and she has a troubling lump in her breast. With circumstances like that, it’s time to take a road trip.

The movie is set to be an hour and 42 minutes long. Linda-Lisa Hayter is listed as director. Hayter’s recent work includes “Signed, Sealed, Delivered,” “iZombie” and “Cranberry Christmas.”

There is no current release date for “The Road Ahead.”
