2 new cases of COVID-19 in Agassiz-Harrison in past week: BCCDC

Two new cases of COVID-19 have been reported in the local health area between Aug. 21 and 27.

According to the latest data from the B.C. Centre for Disease Control (BCCDC), there have now been 244 cases of COVID-19 in Agassiz-Harrison since the beginning of the year. At this time last year, there were 187 cases since the beginning of the year (12 cases were recorded during the same week last year).

Much of 2022’s COVID-19 activity in the local health area has been low, on average, with a significant portion of the year’s cases coming from unprecedented spikes during the first three weeks of the year.

There have been no further reports of outbreaks or exposure events in the past two weeks.
