Two of Agassiz-Harrison's three correctional facilities have welcomed new wardens, according to the latest from Correctional Service Canada (CSC).
During an affirmation of command ceremony in Abbotsford, Jordan Quaroni and Dan Jack have been named wardens of Mountain Institution and Kwìkwèxwelhp Healing Village, respectively. Also during the ceremony, Morgan Andreassen assumed command at Matsqui Institution, Carole Chen took over as warden at Fraser Valley Institution and Attila Turi assumed command of Pacific Institution and Regional Treatment Centre.
The affirmation of command ceremony is a time-honoured tradition at the CSC.
"The affirmation of command is an opportunity for a warden to affirm their institutional responsibilities to their staff, the region, the Correctional Service of Canada, the federal public service, and the people of Canada," stated CSC's acting regional deputy commanderof the Pacific region, Brooke Kassen. "We welcome and acknowledge the appointment of each of these exceptional individuals into their roles as warden."
