Constable Brooke Gilmore is the newest member of the Agassiz RCMP detachment.
Gilmore, who graduated from Depot Division, joined the Agassiz squad in early October of 2024.
Another new addition to the local RCMP is a solar-powered digital traffic sign on Pioneer Avenue, a new tool in the detachment’s ongoing traffic safety initiatives.
The sign was funded by the BC Civil Forfeiture Program as part of a project led by detachment commander Sgt. Andy Lot.
In 2024, the Agassiz RCMP issued over 300 traffic violation tickets to motorists in the area, reinforcing the importance of road safety.
This initiative highlights the detachment’s commitment to promoting safe driving habits and protecting all road users.
“Speed limits and traffic signs are in place for a reason,” said Lot.
“I urge everyone to slow down, obey traffic signs, and prioritize public safety on our roads. Together, we can make Agassiz a safer place for all.”
The Agassiz RCMP remains dedicated to proactive traffic enforcement and fostering a safer community for everyone.
