Tiny dogs – and their humans – rejoice!

The District of Kent recently expanded upon its Pixley Lane Off-Leash Dog Park, adding an area exclusive to small dogs.

The fences went into place in mid-June and is located across from the designated large dog park off-leash dog park close to the intersection of Morrow Road and Pixley Lane.

According to the park’s signage, a small dog is classified as any dog 30 pounds or lighter.

Agassiz’s townsite has one other off-leash dog park, which is located near the Community Recreation and Cultural Centre.

The Village of Harrison Hot Springs is in the process of developing an off-leash dog park, assessing two possible locations. A village-conducted survey indicated a large majority of residents would support an off-leash dog park.
