Driver of pickup truck dies in crash in Abbotsford

Man, 42, was sole occupant of vehicle in collision on Friday morning

A 42-year-old man died in a crash Friday morning (Aug. 30) in Abbotsford.

Const. Art Stele, media officer with the Abbotsford Police Department (APD), said police responded at 6:53 a.m. to the crash at the intersection of Mt. Lehman Road and the Marshall Road Extension.

Stele said when officers arrived on scene, they located a pickup truck in a ditch. He said that despite life-saving measures by first responders, the driver and sole occupant of the vehicle died on scene.

Marshall Road Extension between Peardonville Road and Mt. Lehman Road will remain closed as investigators – including those with the Integrated Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Service – remain on scene.

The APD is asking that anyone with dashcam footage or information about the crash contact them at 604-859-5225.
