Easter egg hunt hosted by Skawahlook First Nation draws more than 300 people

Plenty of eggs found and prizes won during first annual Easter egg hunt

The Easter bunny's first visit to Skawahlook First Nation near Hope brought smiles to more than 300 kids and their families last Saturday (April 18).

Children and their supportive caretakers left no tree, bush, or stone unturned during Skawahlook's first ever Easter Egg Hunt at Syéx̱w Chó:leqw Adventure Park. They carried their most festive baskets to hunt for eggs hidden on the trails and and check out the park's newly installed two-and-a-half storey treehouse, featuring three slides, a telescope and a variety of climbing and ladder features.

They were also able to get their photo taken with the Easter bunny and received a "well-filled gift bag." Special prizes were awarded to anyone who found one of the hidden six golden eggs. Prizes included Lego sets, art kits, jewellery making kits, a water table, a Barbie pink toy car, a mini basketball hoop, as well as other playsets for the kids to choose from.
