A pickup truck dragged a hose and nozzle from a fuel tank from Agassiz to Bridal Falls after an early-morning fuel theft on Friday (March 24).

According to Agassiz RCMP spokesperson Sgt. Mike Sargent, just before 5:30 a.m., a resident living on Pinewood Avenue in Agassiz interrupted an individual attempting to steal diesel fuel from a “tidy tank” – a portable fuel tank – on the back of his truck.

While fleeing the scene, the hose and nozzle were ripped from the tank. The suspect vehicle is described as an older, white Ford F150 pickup with a canopy.

Anyone with information on this incident is asked to call the Agassiz RCMP at 604-796-2211. If you wish to remain anonymous, call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS.
