The Fraser Valley Regional District (FVRD) officially announced on Saturday, March 21, that all FVRD playgrounds are to close in an effort to curb the spread of the coronavirus.

Also effective Saturday, the off-leash dog park on Island 22 in Chilliwack is closed to the public. The remainder of the Island 22 Regional Park is open for residents and tourists to walk leashed dogs, however.

FVRD has already shut down their offices to the public, though they are accessible via phone, their website, virtual meetings and email.
