The Village of Harrison Hot Springs council is holding an uncommon special meeting on Wednesday, Aug. 24 at 10 a.m. at the Village Council Chambers (495 Hot Springs Road).

The agenda for the meeting is relatively brief with two main items. The first is the appointment of a deputy chief elections officer. Council will likely approve the staff’s recommendation and appoint village CAO Madeline MacDonald to the position for the upcoming 2022 election.

The council will go over the first and second reading of the updated Official Community Plan. Wednesday’s meeting is not a final decision or adoption of the OCP. Following council’s initial discussion of the OCP, staff is expected to be authorized to hold a public hearing and the final decision won’t be rendered until a future council meeting.

The special council meeting is open to the public, and the agenda in its entirety is presented below.
