The Harrison Hot Springs Fire Department had another busy year in 2024.
Firefighters took time to recap their year in a recent social media post.

In addition to a variety of training exercises, Harrison hosted an important course in battling the ongoing problem of wildfires. Firefighters from across the province gathered in Harrison Hot Springs for wildfire engine boss courses.
In new equipment, grant funding paid for a new structure protection unit trailer for the fire department.
The HHSFD welcome five new recruits, who are now probationary members. Additionally, they dubbed Harrison country artist Todd Richard honorary firefighter "for his incredible advocacy and support of first responders."
The fire department took time to celebrate the accomplishments of a number of firefighters. Chris Suderman was named firefighter of the year and was recognized for five years of service to the HHSFD. Ashleigh Hole was named volunteer of the year, Ryan Green was named most improved firefighter and Daryl Easton was named rookie of the year. Shane Rutledge was also recognized for five years of service to the village fire department.
