UPDATE: Environment Canada has ended the storm watch for the Agassiz and Harrison area and forecasts sun starting Sunday.
As a Pacific frontal system moves through the Fraser Valley, snow and ice hit Agassiz Harrison hard, and roads are covered in packed down snow.
Much of the B.C. Interior is being cautioned against travel, and the Interior highways are experiencing full winter conditions –between 10 and 15 cm of snow forecast before transitioning to freezing rain later today. Environment Canada is calling for up to 30 cm of snow and freezing rain near Hope.
A significant layer of ice is possible and travellers are advised to exercise due caution on the roads.

The District of Kent’s snow and ice control prioritizes road acess for emergency service providers, school bus routes, commercial routes and federal prison access before residential subdivisons and local roads.
Property owners are required to clear snow and ice from sidewalks by 12 p.m. on the day following accumulation and are advised to park vehicles in driveways to allow the Dsitrict snow plows to maintain the roads.
Many residents have posted in local Facebook groups offering their services for snow removal.
