It's been months since the popular Hobo Hot Springs attraction in Harrison was unceremoniously destroyed, with locals still looking for answers regarding what happened and what will be done about it.

In November, the Ministry of Water, Land and Resource Stewardship announced that it was launching an investigation into the incident, which saw the local pools of hot springs water filled in during a nearby construction project.

Since then, there has been no word from the provincial government regarding the findings of this investigation, but plenty of work has been done locally to try and sort out this messy situation, explained Harrison Hot Springs Mayor Fred Talen.

"There have been meetings with various parties concerning the hot springs," Talen said.

While he couldn't provide any more details yet, Talen said that he hopes to be able to provide a more satisfying update to the public next week.

The Observer has reached out to the Ministry of Water, Land and Resource Stewardship for comment.
