Kent-Harrison Search and Rescue volunteers went on back-to-back calls on Friday, Aug. 26.

KHSAR volunteers were called to Harrison Lake where a group of campers enjoying a float got caught in high winds and rough waters and were unable to make it back to shore. The “Spirit of Harrison” rescue boat was launched and quickly located them with the help of local kayakers who helped during the rescue.

KHSAR volunteers rescued an injured hiker on the Sandy Cove Trail, rushing to the scene on the “Spirit of Harrison.” Volunteers located the injured hiker and transported them to a waiting ambulance.
