A head-on collision in the Mount Woodside area sent one person to hospital on B.C. Day.

Agassiz RCMP spokesperson Sgt. Mike Sargent told The Observer that local police, the B.C. Highway Patrol and B.c. Ambulance Service responded to a two-vehicle collision involving a motorcycle and an SUV at 3:23 p.m. around the 3500 block on Highway 7. The motorcyclist reportedly lost control and slide into oncoming traffic. The motorcycle operator suffered serious but non-life threatening injuries and was transported to hospital.

Sargent said alcohol does not appear to have been a factor in the crash. The investigation is ongoing.
