Traffic and emergency personnel have cleared the scene. Scanner traffic says the victim was transported away from the scene via private vehicle.

Emergency scanner traffic indicates a pedestrian has been struck at the intersection of Hodgins Avenue and Mary Street in Chilliwack.
The incident occurred at approximately 11:40 a.m. on Monday, Aug. 5. Reports indicate the victim was an elderly man on a scooter hit by a truck. He is responsive.
Chilliwack firefighters and the B.C. Emergency Health Service are on the scene.
