Police release sketch of sexual assault suspect in Abbotsford

The Abbotsford Police Department has released this sketch of the suspect in a sexual assault on April 14 at Downes Bowl Park.

The Abbotsford Police Department (APD) has released a composite sketch of a suspect in a sexual assault that occurred Monday, April 14 at Downes Bowl Park.

The APD said Thursday (April 17) an additional detail being released about the suspect is that he has a portrait tattoo on his right forearm.

Uniformed officers are continuing to patrol the area on foot and in vehicles, the APD said.

Police previously said a female youth was alone in the park – located in the 32400 block of Haida Drive – between the hours of 10 and 11:45 p.m. on April 14 when an unknown male between the ages of 15 and 20 approached and sexually assaulted her.

The suspect is described as dark-skinned and around five-foot-five with a medium build, bowl-cut dark-brown hair and a short dark beard. He was wearing grey pants, a grey sweater and white shoes.
