SD78 all-candidates meeting coming to Agassiz, Hope Oct. 3 and 4

Eight candidates vie for school board chairs this election cycle

There is a lot to consider when it comes to choosing our next school board trustees.

The Fraser-Cascade Teachers’ Association and District Parent Advisory Committee are hosting back-to-back all-candidates meetings for candidates running for school board. The first will be on Monday (Oct. 3) from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Hope Secondary commons room and the second will be Tuesday (Oct. 4) from 6:30 p.m to 8 p.m. at Agassiz Elementary Secondary’s library.

Between Agassiz-Harrison and Hope, voters will choose between eight candidates for school board. They are the following:

Agassiz-Harrison

– Wendy Colman-Lawley (incumbent)

– Marilyn Warren (incumbent)

– Wendy Clark

– Andrea Hensen

Hope

– Pattie Desjardins

– Linda Kerr (incumbent)

– Heather Stewin (incumbent)

– Lori Izawa

Election Day is Oct. 15.
