Chamber to host all candidates debate

The Chilliwack Chamber of Commerce is will host an all candidates debate on Thursday, April 21 for federal candidates running in the Chilliwack-Fraser Canyon riding.

The Chilliwack Chamber of Commerce is will host an all candidates debate on Thursday, April 21 for federal candidates running in the Chilliwack-Fraser Canyon riding.

“Keeping in mind the importance of a federal election, this debate will be open for everyone to attend.” said Lisa Caruth, Executive Director with the Chilliwack Chamber of Commerce. “This debate will be designed to promote and facilitate substantive, interactive, in-depth public discussions of candidate positions and proposals.”

All candidates appearing on the ballot have been invited to participate in this debate:

Diane Janzen, Liberal Party

Gwen O’Mahony, NDP

Mark Strahl, Conservative Party

Jamie Hoskins, Green Party

Clive Edwards, Western Block Party

Dorothy-Jean O’Donnell, Marxist-Leninist Party of Canada (MLPC)

The debate will be held at the Coast Chilliwack Hotel with registration beginning at 11:30am.  Kindly RSVP to info@chilliwackchamber.com or by calling 604.793.4323.  Luncheon space is limited and reservations are required.  The debate will be open to the general public after 12:30pm.
