Local man David Elderkin’s dash cam footage shows a close call on Hot Springs Road Thursday around 12 p.m. when an allegedly stolen car nearly ran straight into oncoming traffic.
Elderkin believes police had a spike belt set up at the Esso gas station on the corner of Highway 7 and Highway 9 but efforts came too late to stop the suspect.
RCMP have not yet confirmed the details of the incident.
