The Fraser Valley Regional District (FVRD) has launched a community neighbourhood planning survey for Harrison Mills residents and visitors.
This survey marks the third phase in the New Harrison Mills Neighbourhood Plan and is in response to the FVRD receiving proposals for redeveopment for Sandpiper Resort that requires ammenmdnets to the Official Community Plan and the electoral area. The first two phases involved a number of assessments, including archeological, environment and geohazard assessments.
“The survey gives people an opportunity to share what they value or would like to change in the area,” read a brief statement from the FVRD.
Other measures to be undertaken before phase 4 include a public open house and meeting with area First Nations communities for consultation; this phase is expected to conclude by the end of the year. The FVRD outlines six phases in all, with the last being preparing the final Neighbourhood Plan by the middle to end of next summer, should no delays occur.
Feedback from this survey will help the regional district plan for future growth and development.
The survey is open now until Nov. 5. For more information, frequently asked questtions and to participate in the survey, visit haveyoursay.fvrd.ca/harrison-mills.
