District of Kent staff doused several elected official with ice-filled water on the steps of the Agassiz Harrison Observer on Tuesday. Coun. Darcy Striker, Mayor John Van Laerhoven, Coun. Duane Post and Coun, Holger Schwichtenberg all participated after being challenged by the Village of Harrison Hot Springs. Each participant from Kent council donated $100 of their own money. They are now challenging the Agassiz RCMP detachment to participate in the Ice Bucket Challenge, which benefits the ALS Society. Jessica Peters/ Observer
