Kent Harrison Emergency Social Services seeks volunteers

Volunteer emergency service in need of volunteers with staffing shortages

Kent Harrison Emergency Social Services had a busy 2016 assisting 43 persons from 15 families in Agassiz, Harrison Hot Springs, and Seabird Island that had to be evacuated from their homes. Chilliwack Emergency Social Services helped when the small volunteer team was overwhelmed at an apartment fire in Harrison Hot Springs. Thankfully only a handful of residents ended up needing emergency social services from the apartment fire.

Kent Harrison Emergency Social Services is a volunteer organization that assists persons affected by a disaster for up to 72 hours after an incident by providing shelter, food, clothing, and other supports. Currently there are three members and new members are urgently needed.
