Linda Kerr is looking to be re-elected to the Fraser Cascade school board table.

She has told the Standard she will be submitting her nomination papers this week. Kerr is currently the board chair, and has been a trustee in Hope for many years.

The deadline for anyone wishing to run for office in the Oct. 15 municipal elections must do so by Sept. 9.

This election, Hope and area residents will be choosing a mayor and council, Fraser Valley Regional District area directors, and school board trustees, depending on their home address. Fraser Cascade uses a ward system for trustee, ensuring representation over its large geographical differences. Hope has three of the seven trustee positions, Agassiz-Harrison has three and Fraser Canyon has one.
