A new evacuation alert has been issued in the Hope area for dozens of properties.
The District of Hope says it is proactively placing properties adjacent to SilverHope Creek on evacuation alert. Affected addresses are being notified directly. The District has three maps on their website to view, but does not list each property.
This is only an alert to prepare those residents to evacuate their premises or property should it be found necessary. Residents will be given as much advance notice as possible prior to an evacuation; however, you may receive limited notice due to changing conditions.
The alert was issued at 12:47 p.m. and triggered an alert on the Alertable app for those who have it downloaded. It includes several addresses along Silver Skagit Road.
This is in addition to more than 100 homes that were placed on evacuation alert on Nov. 30.
