One injured in Thursday Mount Woodside crash

Driver airlifted to Royal Columbia Hospital, RCMP confirms

The B.C. Highway Patrol is leading an investigation into a single-vehicle crash that stopped traffic on the Lougheed Highway on Thursday (May 19) morning.

Agassiz RCMP spokesperson Sgt. Mike Sargent confirmed that a single vehicle was involved in the incident. The driver of a motorcycle sustained serious injuries in the Mount Woodside area and was airlifted to Royal Columbian Hospital.

The crash closed both lanes of the highway for a few hours as emergency crews worked.

The investigation into this incident is ongoing.
