A man accused of two counts of murder and one count of attempted murder will have his preliminary hearing in Vancouver on Jan. 18.

Joseph Holland, 43, of Vancouver, was arrested in July 2020 at a campground in Harrison Hot Springs following the death of two men. The deceased were identified as Dennis Wragg, 72, and Paul Tonks, 68, who were found dead inside a Commercial Drive home in Vancouver on July 7, 2020.

Vancouver Police Department investigators were in the Ryder Lake area and at the Eagle Landing shopping centre in Chilliwack during the previous week, searching for evidence. In the Ryder Lake area, a minivan connected to the killings was found, abandoned. From there, investigators tracked Holland to a campground in Harrison.
