A theft occurred at the Agassiz-Harrison Museum & Tourism Centre earlier this afternoon. The suspect emptied the cash register and left on foot. An arrest was made and the man is currently being held in custody by police while awaiting his court appearance.
"We're really upset about all the break and enters in our wonderful small communities — it's a real shocker," said Manager Judy Pickard. "We're a non-profit society and we're all working really hard. Everyone is really upset and and we all feel very violated."
