Fraser Valley scanner traffic has indicated a tree down across Hot Springs Road in Harrison about 500 meters away from Golf Road. Please make alternate plans.

Scanner traffic indicates live wires down on Rockwell Drive in the Harrison area as well; motorists are warned to use caution.

Witnesses report blockage at the roundabout outside of the Agassiz-Rosedale Highway. A detour is still available under the Agassiz-Rosedale Bridge to Chilliwack.

Like fire departments all through the area, the Agassiz Fire Department is responding to dropped wires due to high winds.

According to B.C. Hydro outage maps, there are approximately 120 people without power in Harrison Hot Springs (mostly on Rockwell) and about 1,400 in Agassiz, Rosedale, Popkum, Herrling Island, the Lougheed Highway and on both sides of the Agassiz-Rosedale Bridge.

The Fraser Valley Regional District announced the Cheam Lake Wetlands Regional Park and Popkum Community Trail have been closed until further notice due to downed trees.

More to come.
