Two seriously injured in weekend Mount Woodside motorcycle crash

Two people were seriously injured following a motorcycle crash in the Mount Woodside area on Sunday (May 2) night.

According to Agassiz RCMP spokesperson Sgt. Mike Sargent, the motorcycle lost control and went off the road along the Lougheed Highway. The driver and passenger were both transported to hospital via air ambulance to treat serious injuries.

Agassiz RCMP, Agassiz Fire Department and B.C. Ambulance Service attended the scene. Integrated Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Service also attended the scene and the investigation into the cause of the incident is ongoing.

“The Agassiz RCMP would like to thank the good Samaritans that had initially stopped at the scene and assisted with providing First Aid to the injured riders,” Sargent said in a statement.
