There’s nothing like a little bit of spring cleaning.
The Agassiz Community Gardens Society is hosting their annual Spring Cleanup yard waste event at the municipal gravel pit (4610 Cemetery Road) on April 30; Hours are 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
This event is free for residents within the District of Kent and a minimum of a $10 donation for non-residents.
The Agassiz Community Gardens Society oversees the Agassiz Community Garden, located on Morrow Road. Last year, the Society celebrated the grand opening of the newer garden site located on Morrow Road (its original location was on Pioneer Avenue).
In the April 8 edition of The Observer , it was mistakenly reported that the Spring Cleanup event was running from April 2 to April 30. The event actually takes place on April 2 and April 30. The Observer regrets the error.
