In Loving Memory ~

Arnold Martin McCombs passed away on December 29, 2024 and will be deeply missed by his family and friends.

He was predeceased by his parents, Margaret and Buster McCombs, and siblings Rae and Marion (Burroughs).

He is survived by his wife, Cris Tiongco McCombs, as well as his nieces, nephews, and "grandkids." Arnold, born May 29, 1937, had two great loves - nature and his loving wife, Cris.

Arnold spent his early days working at his father's Eagle Creek Logging camp, traveling as a Forester and adventurer, working in Finance, and pursuing his love of nature. He had many stories, shared with loved ones and preserved in local history books. His books included The Harrison Chehalis Challenge and The Fraser Valley Challenge, which capture local forestry history, as well as Let's Cycle Chilliwack and Let's Cycle Agassiz.

His work with the Historical Society, Municipal Council, and the Hiking Club contributed to the community. He was also a devoted model railroad enthusiast and delighted children and friends with his intricate model train layouts featuring unique British Columbia landscapes.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Fraser Valley Health Care Foundation or the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
