March 12, 2019
It is with great sadness we announce the sudden passing of Barrie at the age of 72 on March 12, 2019. Barrie was born in Chilliwack into a family of what would be 8 siblings and they resided in Agassiz on the family farm. He later moved to Chilliwack in his early adulthood to start his own family and to continue pursuing his career as a meat cutter, which would evolve as a 48 year employment with the same company. He later moved back

to Agassiz. Barrie considered retiring, but he enjoyed his Fraser Valley Meats family, and a job he was proud of, which he was still doing. Barrie was an avid fisherman and his best memories will be with family and friends at many lakes he enjoyed. He is survived by his mother Margaret Edmondson (97 years), brothers, Tom (Brenda) John (Tuesday) sisters, Marie (John), Elaine (Wayne) and Faye (Steve) and daughters Pam Ritchie and Cheri Prachnau, and grandkids Allanah, Cassie, Logan, Hailey, and many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his father Charlie, brothers Jim and Rick. A family fishing trip will take place at a later date.
