In loving memory ~ It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Cheryl Maureen Wiles on September 20, 2021. Chery was born in Vancouver, BC, to Mary and Malcom Person, and spent her childhood on their small farm in Rosedale. She attended Rosedale Elementary School, Chilliwack High School and graduated with a Bachelor of Zoology from the University of British Columbia in 1974. She later earned her teaching degree and taught at several schools in the Vernon area, where she and her family resided.
Chery is survived by her loving husband Gord, who she met in the spring of 1969, her two children Ian (Lindsay Kosheiff) of Nelson, and Charlene (Adam Grundy) of Ottawa, four beautiful granddaughters Jordyn, Maren, Olivia and Hannah, her mother, Mary, brother Ken (Kathy), sister Lynda (Rene Ross) and many other treasured family and friends.
We are forever grateful for the joy and unconditional love she has shown us, and for the beautiful memories we were so lucky to have shared together. We will miss her positive spirit, contagious laugh and ability to make everything just a little bit brighter. She will forever be in our hearts.
