ANDRES, ELEONORE
December 16, 1918 – April 20, 2007
Eleonore was taken home to be with her heavenly father Friday April 20th at Glenwood Care Centre, surrounded during her last days by her loving family. She leaves 4 children Hermann, Peter (Elizabeth), Gerd (Donna), Anne; 5 grandchildren, Michael, Monica, Tyler, Nicole, and Charlotte; her sister-law Hanna (Johnny) from London, England and many nephews, nieces, and friends. Eleonore was predeceased by her husband Hans in 2005; her three brothers Hermann, Hans, and John Murray, her sister Erny, and her parents Frederick and Alice Bartels and stepmother Hildegard Bartels.
They moved with their family to B.C. in Dec.1951 and they settled in Agassiz in April 1952 and operated a dairy farm and later a fruit farm. From 1964 to 1980 she worked at Glenwood Home for three years and then later as a library assistant at Agassiz Secondary School for thirteen years. She was an active member of Harrison Gospel Chapel and the Agassiz Book Club.
Services will be Thursday April 26th:
Internment Service @ 1:00 pm at
Valleyview Cemetary in Agassiz with the memorial service following at 2:00 pm at Harrison Gospel Chapel.
