Francesco Alberto Meyer, age 86, died Tuesday February 4th, 2020, at Chilliwack General Hospital, surrounded by his family, following a very brief illness.
He leaves behind 5 children - Jenny, Laura, Francesca, Saverio and Ann, and 10 grandchildren.
Born and raised in Carrara Italy, and of Swiss descent, Francesco immigrated to Canada (Montreal) in 1955, married his wife Anna Albina Dell'Amico in 1960 (deceased in 2001), and made a life for himself in Canada - first in Toronto, and then Agassiz, where he settled, and worked for many years at the Harrison Hot Springs Resort Hotel.
Francesco's greatest pride was in his family, and he showed this in many ways, right up until his death. His love for his children and grandchildren was immense. He had a great sense of humour, and anyone who knew him can attest to this! He will be greatly missed, but will live on in the wonderful memories shared by his family. We rejoice that he is at long last reunitied with his loving wife in heaven.
