McINROY, FRANCIS
Francis McInroy passed away on December 8th 2009 at Chilliwack, BC at age 97. He was born on March 28th 1912 in Innisfail, Alberta.
Frank or Pete is survived by daughter Gayle (Blaine) Wells, grandchildren September Wells (Ron), Shannon (Dwayne) Fry. Great-grandchildren Kaitlyn Singer, Jaime, Crystal, Kelly and Hannah Fry, Elizabeth and Samantha Grychuk. He was predeceased by his wife Norma, great-granddaughter Teresa Fry, 4 sisters and 6 brothers.
Frank McInroy resided in Harrison Hot Springs, B.C., for 64 years. He built and operated the service station that is there today. He built and installed the furnace in the memorial hall. Frank was a village councillor, School Board Trustee, and Ass. Fire Chief. He was in the Navy during World War II. Frank spent a number of years in the Williams Lake and Horsefly area where he met his wife Norma Dogherty. They were married in 1941 and spent 64 beautiful years together.
