It is with deep sadness we announce the passing of Geoff.

He is survived by his wife Joyce, son Martin (Lorrie), Stepdaughters Susan Halcro (Quentin), Lindy Weibe (Robert), stepson Simon Norris. Grandchildren Mathew (Caley), Meaghan (Mike), Marcus (Brittany), Jocelyn (Mark), Michael (Mandy), Collin (Cindy), Mimi (Bryan), Andrew, Stephen. Great grandchildren Carys, Logan, and Oliver. Cousins, nieces, and nephews in the U.K.

Geoff was predeceased by his father Percy, Mother Clara, and Sister Brenda.

Geoff was born in Yorkshire, England, and attended school in Edinburgh. At age 17, Geoff joined the Royal Air Force and trained as an Engine Fitter in Egypt, later being posted to Germany where he worked on the Berlin Airlift. Geoff was then posted to Rhodesia in Zimbabwe where he attained his life long dream of being a pilot. He then flew fighter jets in Germany and the U.K., retiring in 1966.

He started his second career taking a teaching degree in Exeter, Devon. Subsequently, Geoff and his family emigrated to Canada in 1969 where he took a position teaching Art, Geography, and Science at Vanier Collegiate in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan. Upon retirement in 1993, Geoff and his wife Joyce moved to Agassiz, B.C.

Travel was a favourite pastime, Geoff and Joyce spent many winters in Arizona, and also travelled to Australia, New Zealand, China, Germany, Italy, and of course the U.K. Geoff had a passion for languages and was fluent in German, and could also "get by" in Arabic, Spanish, Italian, and Mandarin.

Geoff also enjoyed gardening, cooking, RC modelling, and painting.

He will be sadly missed by his loving wife Joyce, his family, and many friends around the world.

In memory of Geoff, donations may be made to The Dignity Fund, Vanier Collegiate, Moose Jaw, or a charity of choice.
