Howard James (Jim) White passed away suddenly on Friday Sept 24th at age 81.
Born in August 1941 in Cranbrook, BC, Jim served in the Canadian Military with the Royal Canadian Engineers proudly for 25 years.
Retiring from the Forces in 1980, Jim then had a long career in construction and facility management, joining his brother Richard in Lethbridge, AB, then the County of Newell in Brooks, AB, moving north to the Yukon Government, in Whitehorse and finally at the University of the Fraser Valley in Abbotsford, BC.
Jim enjoyed playing golf with many lifelong friends at least 3 times a week. Jim's latest accomplishment was, he recently finished restoring a 1961 Jaguar.
He is survived by his wife Bernice (Bunny), sons Allan (Loreana) and Gary, Grandsons Alex and Nick, Sister Mary- Ann De Jager and Brother Richard.
A memorial will be held on Thursday October 14th at 13:00, at the Royal Canadian Legion #280 5561 Vedder Road, Chilliwack, BC V2R 3N5 Covid restrictions may be in effect. In lieu of flowers please donate to the Canadian Cancer Society.
