With great sadness, we announce the passing of our mom, Rita Oosterlaar.
he was born in The Netherlands. In 1955 Rita and her husband Bill emigrated to Canada, in 1960 they moved to Agassiz and made it their home for the next 60 years.
Rita will be remembered by her children Tilli, Janet (Stuart), Brian (Miche), 2 grandchildren Trevor (Diandra), Leanne (Brett) and 2 great-grandchildren Zoey and Forrest. She is also survived by 2 sisters and 4 brothers living in The Netherlands, plus many nieces and nephews.
She is predeceased by her husband Bill, daughter Diane, son Gerald and son in law Kevin. Mom will be missed by her family and all those who knew her.
Special thanks go out to the staff, doctors, nurses and care aides of Cheam Village who cared for mom.
A funeral mass will be held on Friday, August 21st at 11 am at St. Anthony's Catholic Church, 7237 Morrow Rd., Agassiz. Graveside Service will follow, no reception due to the COVID-19 Pandemic.
