It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing away of Hermanus (Herman) Lindhout on Thursday, September 16, at the age of 83 years. Herman will be lovingly remembered and deeply missed by his six children, Les (Tanny), Art (Nel), Wendy (John) Indenbosch, Neal (Betty), Jason (Nelleke) and Gord (Evelyn); 34 grandchildren and 42 great grandchildren.
Herman was born on July 7, 1938 in Rotterdam, the Netherlands, and immigrated with his family to Canada in 1950. Herman was predeceased by his wife, Janna (Jane) Lindhout in 2016, by his parents Arend Eliza and Wilhelmina Lindhout, and great grandson Landon Korporaal.
Herman will also be missed by his two brothers, Garry (Jan) Lindhout and Henk (Dorothy) Lindhout and by his in laws, Jack & Donna Traas, Jack & Karen Lindhout, Christine Traas, Connie & Gerrit De Jong and Nellie & Peter Van Egdom.
The funeral service was on Wednesday, September 22, 2021 at 10 am in the Reformed Congregation in North America church sanctuary at 48952 Yale Road East. Internment followed at Chilliwack Cemeteries.
