December 6, 1935 - November 11, 2021
Hilda passed away on Nov. 11 at Courtenay Hospital. She was born in Medstead Saskatchewan to Isaac and Katerina Schultz on Dec 6, 1935. Shortly thereafter the family moved to BC. Hilda was the middle child of seven. Hilda spent most of her life in the Frazer Valley and the Comox Valley. She was quite active in curling, golf, cards, hiking and volunteering. Hilda was nicknamed "The Energizer Bunny". She volunteered at the Courtenay Museum, Fish and Game Club, Cottage Thrift shop and the Sendial program at Thrifty Foods. Hilda loved the Comox Valley but particularly The Point Homes beach area where we spent many a pleasant time in our 45years in the Valley.
Hilda is survived by her husband Bernie, son Steve, daughter in law Heather, Grandsons Brad, Daniel and Alex, Brothers Louie and Ed Schultz, Sister Linda Saniger and many nieces and nephews. Hilda is greatly missed by all of the many people she took into her heart and cared for as family.
A very special thank you to Dr. McLaughlin, Dr. Grace, and the nurses and staff at Valley Care Clinic, Courtenay Hospital and all the people at Home Care.
