Howard Lyle Whelpton

February 1, 1931 - September 18, 2018
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Howard Whelpton at age 87.

Howard was born and raised in Agassiz. He was employed with Riv Tow for 40 years, both on Harrison Lake and in later years in Vancouver. Once he retired they moved back from Coquitlam to Agassiz. Howard loved to hunt and fish and enjoyed many years travelling in their RV. Most of all he loved spending time with family and friends.

Howard was a loving Husband, Father, and Grandfather. He is survived by his wife of 65 years Joan, son Rusty (Alita), daughter Diane (Gerry), and his grandchildren Kim (Jon), Trevor (Hannah), David, Adam and Graham as well as Merralee Whelpton.

A celebration of Howard's life will be held at the Agassiz United Church on Friday October 12th at 1:00 pm with a reception to follow.
