"Dr. Mac" died on 9th October 2021. He had been treated for a metastatic neuroendocrine tumour of the pancreas for five years but succumbed to an unrelated lung cancer.
Raised and educated in Scotland, he married his wife Yvonne, a Canadian, and together they relocated to Canada. Yvonne survives him after 48 years of marriage. Together they raised three wonderful daughters, Joanna (Jonathan), Catriona and Rhona. His grandchildren Oliver, Annali, Rory and Alastair
warmed his heart, and he regrets that he will miss their triumphs.
Dr. Mac was a family physician, first practicing in Thompson, Manitoba, and for 33 years in Agassiz and Chilliwack. He was most honoured and touched when he was given the name, Shxwlis texw thet (Good about caring about people) by the Sts'ailes people.
There will be no services. For those who wish to honour him, Lachlan suggested that you toast his memory with your favourite tipple (single malt is suggested) and vow to try to leave this world a better place.
