Margaretha (Grace) passed away on Sunday January 1, 2023, at Chilliwack, BC at the age of 90 years. She was born April 25, 1932, in Hoogkerk, Netherlands. Grace is survived by son Ike (Carmen), sister Maike, brother-in-law, Martin and sister-in-law, Didi. Many nieces and nephews in the Netherlands.
She was predeceased by husband Gerrit, sisters Aaltje, Martje and brother Luit.
Grace came to Canada in 1959 and landed in Toronto where she met the love of her life, Gerrit and later married on August 27, 1960. In 1965 they welcomed their son, Ike. They later moved to BC in 1970. In 1980, they purchased a dairy farm in Agassiz, where they worked on until the early 90's. After retirement, they moved to Chilliwack, BC.
A funeral service with be held on Saturday, January 14th at 11:00 am. A viewing for friends and family will be held on Saturday, January 14th at 10:00 am. Burial will take place January 14th at 2:00 pm.
