Marion Burroughs (McCombs)
May 27, 1939 – October 1, 2016
Daughter of Margaret and Buster McCombs, sister of Arnold and Rae McCombs, Ken’s sweetheart and lifelong partner for almost 60 years, mother, grandmother, aunt, friend and compassionate ear to all in need of sound advice. The honesty and depth of her relationships truly defines her grace. Artistic, curious and eternally optimistic, Marion’s passion for lifelong learning supported her genuine concern for the well-being of others. Her caring nature led her to a career as a pediatric nurse and teacher at BC Children’s Hospital where she positively impacted countless children, their families and future pediatric nurses. Marion loved all things Harrison Lake and spending time with her family at home and at the family cabin on Long Island were her most favorite things to do. Marion will be more than missed by all that knew her. A celebration of Marion’s life will be held at the University Golf Club on November 12, 2016 from 12:00 - 3:00.
