May 4, 1940 - February 26, 2021
In Loving Memory of Moses Shantz ~ Moe passed away peacefully on February 26, 2021 in Hospice. He is survived by his wife Lorraine, his three children: Deanne, Rick and Theresa as well as his seven grandchildren (1 deceased) and his many beloved great-grandchildren.
Moe was born on May 4, 1940 in Ontario, he then married his wife Lorraine in March of 1967. They moved to Stewart, BC, where Moe started working in the Mines. Five years later they moved to Squamish where he continued mining. The Mine eventually closed down and that is when Moe started his taxi business "Seaside Taxi". In 1992 they decided to move the family to Agassiz, where Moe purchased the Agassiz Taxi Company. After a few years he sold the taxi business and started his garbage company "Kent Sanitation".
He operated that for many years until all of the recycling changes came into effect.
Close to his retirement he decided to go back to driving taxi. As we all know Moe enjoyed being out in the public and that's when he later took an opportunity to deliver for the beer store. He also helped out when they needed him at the Pub.
One of the fondest times in Moe's life was being part of Camp Bridal where he became well loved. Moe will be very missed by many.
A Celebration of Life will be held in Agassiz once COVID restrictions are lifted.
